Choice and Control: Are Whitegoods disability supports?
Many will know that the NDIS review made many recommendations. One particular issue for disabled people is whitegoods – that is, a washing machine and dryer, a Thermomix multicooker (that can chop, mix and cook) may be deemed ineligible for disabled persons. Holidays, groceries, payment of utility bills, online gambling, perfume, cosmetics, standard household appliances and whitegoods will not be funded, according to the NDIS Reform Bill’s explanatory notes.
