What are personal domestic activities? These are personal duties around the house and yard including cleaning, meal preparation, gardening, and a variety of tasks depending on the client’s requirements. Assistance with Domestic Activities is useful for clients who may need help around the home depending on their needs and level of ability.

This can also include assisting YOU in building their skills to maintain their home environment. For example; If a participant owns or rents their home and is in charge for their garden. They can hire a support worker to help with them with their gardening and other basic house work.

How do I get NDIS domestic support assistance?

To get NDIS support assistance, you will need to be eligible for the NDIS, and if you are, become registered with the scheme.

After processing your request, NDIS representatives will assess your “reasonable and necessary” requirements as well as develop a plan around how you can best receive the assistance you deserve.

Once your eligibility has been established, you’ll have a planning meeting with the NDIA. Here they will ask you about how you are going in different areas of your life, what your goals are and what kind of help and support you need.

From there, it’s a matter of selecting the right NDIS service provider and putting your plan into practice!

Ok, so how can our team at Amoscare – a team of friendly and experienced NDIS support workers help you and your loved ones live at home more independently?
