Join a Paid Research Opportunity to Improve Road Safety for CALD Communities!

We’re partnering with the Department of Transport and Planning to better understand the road safety challenges faced by CALD communities. Your experiences and insights are crucial in helping us identify effective strategies and support systems that can make our roads safer for everyone.

By participating in a 1-1.5 hour focus group, you’ll play a key role in shaping initiatives that provide vital information and practical resources tailored to the needs of non-English-speaking individuals. This is your chance to make a difference and ensure that everyone in our community can navigate the roads safely.

Qualifying participants will be reimbursed $100 for their contributions.

Who can take part?
To take part in the study, you need to:

  • Live in Victoria;
  • Be aged 16 years or older;
  • Be born in China, India, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iran, Lebanon, Turkey, or Sudan OR live in a household where your parents were born in one of those countries;
  • Interact with the road by either being a pedestrian or a driver.

How to take part?

We will email you a link to a questionnaire to determine whether you meet our criteria for this study.
If you meet the study criteria, we will email you various availabilities to set up the focus groups.
Once you have attended the focus group, you will receive a $100 e-voucher for your time and contribution.
